An Admiral Nurse visiting a carer

We work in partnership with Dementia UK to provide Admiral Nurses – a specialist service helping the Armed Forces community and their families living with dementia.

We know that when you’re caring for someone with dementia it can be hard to find the time to look after yourself. Our Admiral Nurses are there to support you, and those you’re caring for, to get the help you need.

We offer telephone support, and home visits can also be arranged if required.

To request support please call the freephone number - 0808 802 8080, or email [email protected] for help looking after a loved one with dementia.

My admiral nurse was my rock. I feel so much better knowing I don't have to face things alone.

  • Guidance on how to care for someone with dementia

  • Emotional and psychological support for carers and families

  • Help to develop skills to encourage positive approaches to living with dementia

  • Information and practical advice for carers and families

  • Help to access services and support from other organisations

  • Our Admiral Nurses support serving and ex-serving personnel and their families – this can either be the person with dementia or their carer.

We are there to help you every step of the way, whether it’s diagnosis, being there to help with difficult decisions, or supporting someone who may need to go into full-time care and beyond.
